Table Spaces

Table spaces include the actual table (so you don’t need to bring one). However, your merchandising area is “Tabletop” area only and no more than 24″-30″ above tabletop.

(i.e. Additional off-table fixtures and tall/wide signage that could block neighbor’s sight lines are not permitted – since table spaces are typically placed in the middle of rooms.)

Custom Spaces

We mark the 4 corners of “Custom Spaces” and you place your own table or fixtures within the footprint ordered. If you don’t bring your own table, you may rent one using an “add-on” so long as it fits within the space. Unlike Table Spaces, Custom Spaces do allow for tall banner stand signage & fixtures, clothing racks, display racks, etc. to enable more vertical merchandising – and typically situated near a wall or window..

Morgan MFG - 401 N. Morgan St., Chicago

Morgan Manufacturing was built before the Great Chicago Fire. The event space for the Chicago Artisan Market has been completely renovated and includes a total of 32,000 square feet. The venue benefits from large windows, skylights and soaring ceiling heights. (The large bathrooms are hotel quality.) The venue is conveniently located near the I-90/94 and I-290 expressways, 2-3 blocks southwest of the CTA’s Blue Line and 4-5 blocks north of the Morgan St. stop of the CTA’s Green and Pink Lines. Bus service from the Loop is also convenient. The venue has a surface parking lot out front and multiple entrances for short-term load-in and load-out.

We purposefully chose Morgan Manufacturing Co. (401 N. Morgan St.) in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood as the location for the Chicago Artisan Market. Few neighborhoods or buildings embody the transformation of Chicago’s artisan economy better. A former meat market (Fulton Market) has been transformed into the City’s finest culinary scene. A mid-19th century industrial building (Morgan Manufacturing) is today home to on-demand manufacturing businesses (Threadless / Bucketfeet) that crowdsource designs from artists all over the world.
